Art

Now we look at an artist who uses colour to show emotions. Watch the video and make a mind map all about Wallisy Kandinsky.

Once you have done that you can listen to a piece of music (the one below. or music of your choice) and try to draw the colours and shapes that you hear.

Spellings from the list you were given in the brown envelope. Practice them throughout the next week and ask someone to test you on them next Friday.

If you want a bit more challenge, try these extra spellings: island, surprise, strength

Times Tables Check that you can log in to times tables rockstars and have a go at some 2x, 5x and 10x tables activities. Your brown envelope has a sheet in with your login details!

New Start

Hello, my lovely new Year 2 class! Thank you all for making my first week back in school so brilliant. This week we have been learning all about writing questions, and in maths we have done some fantastic work on subtracting, number bonds and telling the time. Wow year 2, I have been SO impressed with the work you have completed today. You have shown perseverance and independence ! We have had lots of our shells in our tub and so many table points. Why don't you tell someone at home what we are going to do when we fill the shells again? Can you tell them about something you have learned today?
